Hertfordshire Wedding Photography
Laura and Johnathan | Fanham’s Hall
I can’t pretend to know Laura and Johnathan enough to make that generalisation of opposites attract, but it was certainly the impression I got when I first met them over a coffee in London’s West End, and even more-so when we had a fun engagement shoot a couple of months later. Laura – energetic, expressive, talkative; Johnathan – quiet, stoic, agreeable. Both of them gorgeous inside and out.
I spent the days leading up to Laura and Johnathan’s Hertfordshire wedding constantly checking my weather app as I knew they wanted an outdoor ceremony. The forecast was for light rain and for it to come and go as it pleased and during the morning prep, come and go it did.
Laura took it in stride, giggling dizzily with every drop of rain, and shrieking louder when it stopped. I find that couples who book me don’t sweat the small stuff. The big stuff matters of course: The people, the getting married, the celebration. And the photography, of course. A bit of rain? Pah!
They had both told me that kids played a huge part in their lives being uncles and aunts and virtual older brothers and sisters to a gaggle of screaming kids, and those kids contributed to an absolute riot of a wedding day.
